Rajouri: Security forces on Thursday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in villages including Lower Krishna Ghati near Line of Control in Poonch district.
This operation was launched on Thursday morning by Army and police after some information from the area regarding suspicious movement and presence in the area.
Officials said that on the basis of this information, security forces laid cordon in the area and started searches in villages of Krishna Ghati including Lower Krishna Ghati and others.
“Searches in the area that started on Thursday morning continued when last reports were received,” the officials said.
They said that forces were conducting this operation on a large scale as the area is located near Line of Control and there is possibility of infiltration.
