Central Kashmir: Seven injured in Charar-e-Sharief clashes
At least seven youths were injured in clashes between youth and government forces in Charar-e-Sharief town of central Kashmir's Budgam district on Friday.
Two of the injured have been referred to Srinagar with pellet injuries in their eyes.
Earlier, forces had sealed the entire Charar-e-Sharief town following a call by the separatists asking people of the district to march towards the historic town.
Reports and witnesses said the clashes broke out between protestors and forces in Gulshan Abad locality in which seven youth received injuries in pellet firing by forces.
"Two youth with pellet injuries in their eyes were referred to Srinagar's SMHS hospital," said a hospital source.
The other injured have been hit by pellet in chest and other body parts.
Police and CRPF had erected barricades and laid concertina wires at all entry points around the town to prevent people from marching in.
For the past 77 days, the town has been observing complete shutdown.
