Civil Engineers Graduate Association (CEGA) organized a convention in which participants raised various issues concerning engineering fraternity.

A press handout issued here, states that CEGA's interim body during the event highlighted their issues and sought redressal from the concerned authorities.  Er Nasir Amin in welcome address highlighted the grave problems and vital issues faced by the engineering community and laid the demands which included restoring the dignity of profession, assured career progression (running grades) of all Engineering Community on the analogy of other technical services JK, confirmation of all adhoc promotions at all levels on substantive basis, removal of pay anomalies and restoring technical quota in administrative services.

The press handout reads that various retired engineers and former office bearers of Association including Er. Khalid Muzaffar, Er Parvez Fazilli  spoke on the occasion and shared their experience.

The occasion was graced by incumbent chief engineers, SEs, and EX-en's.

 President Electrical Engineers Association, Peerzada Hidayatuallah, President Mechanical Engineers Association, Firdous Ahmad hailed the efforts of CEGA for organizing the event and stressed over the need of unity to address the various issues.

Among other speakers were Er Tanveer Mir, Er Farroq, Er Shakeel ul Rehman, ER. Muneer Kapra who all stressed over the demands of engineers citing various examples such retired chief engineers whose pension was fixed that of AE,  SE's taking salary of JE,'s etc.

Thanking the participants the interim body President Er. Muzaffar Jan expressed hope and vowed to continue the struggle till it's logical conclusion.

He announced that the election for electing the central body will take place at the end of this month and appealed all the civil graduate engineers to vigorously participate in membership drive for broader participation in elections and having a vibrant elected body.
