Clashes erupted in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday after youth pelted an army patrolling party with stones.
Reports said that a patrolling party of 13 RR was returning to their base when they were pelted with stones by scores of youth at main market Hajin.
Locals alleged that army men vandalized the shops after the clashes.
A senior police official of the district said that the situation was brought under control soon after the army patrol was attacked with stones.
He denied that any shop was vandalized by the army.
