Authorities on Saturday suspended the class workat a few educational institutions in Sopore sub division in north Kashmir’sBaramulla district in view of the killing of a local militant yesterday.
“In view of prevailing situation and as a precautionarymeasure, Govt Degree college. Sopore, higher secondary school boys and highersecondary school girls Sopore shall suspend their class work tomorrow on May11th 2019,” read an order issued by the additional district magistrate Soporelast evening.
The rest of the educational institutions, it said, willfunction normally.
Ishfaq Ahmad Sofi alias Abdullah Bhai, a resident of ModelTown Sopore was killed in a gunfight with the security forces in southernShopian district early Friday.
