Classwork to remain suspended in few colleges, HSS today

Class work will remain suspended in few colleges and higher secondary schools in some districts of Kashmir on Monday.

The decision to suspend classwork in these institutions has been taken as a precautionary measure to avoid student protests.

   

Officials said the classwork will remain suspended in Amar Singh College and Women’s College M A Road in Srinagar.

“The classwork will remain suspended only in these two institutions ollege will remain closed for only students while as rest of the educational institutions will remain open in the city,” said the official.

In Baramulla, government Degree College, Sopore and Boys Higher Secondary School, Sopore will remain closed for students while as teachers have to report to their institutions.

Similarly, district administration Kupwara has decided to suspend classwork in Government Degree College Kupwara, Handwara and Higher secondary school Handwara, Langate and Kralgund.

Deputy Commissioner, Shopian Gazanffar Ali said they have decided to close only Degree College Shopian and one higher secondary school of the town while as rest of the institutions will remain functional on Monday.

Meanwhile district administration Ganderbal has decided to suspend classwork in all higher secondary schools and degree colleges of the district, on Monday.
