Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Khalid Jahangir on Tuesday sanctioned cash compensation of Rs 4 lakh each in favour of next of kin of two brothers who died in cloudburst in Kokernag. The compensation was sanctioned out of State Disaster Response Fund.
The brothers, Sameer Ahmad Lone and Arif Ahmad Lone, sons ofMohammad Ibrahim Lone of Pooru village in Kokernag were killed in thecloudburst late on Monday.
Meanwhile, cash compensation of Rs 10,000, from District RedCross, was sanctioned in favour of Nizam ud Din Bimla son of Jumma Bimla ofPooru, who sustained minor injuries in the incident.
