Cong decries lack of facilities at quarantine centres

J&K Pradesh Congress committee on Saturday expressed concern over complaints about lack of facilities at quarantine centres and asked the government to constitute a high level committee to immediately inspect the centres.

The party chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said there were numerous complaints pouring in about lack of the facilities at some quarantine centres, which can aggravate the situation and causing hardships to the inmates.

“There is urgent need to set up a high level committee to immediately inspect and monitor the centres to prevent spread of the disease and make the life of inmates comfortable,” Sharma said.

He regretted the dilly-dally tactics adopted by the government to allow J&K labourers to return, forcing them to start the journey on foot.

“The administration has failed to deal with the issue in an organized manner and as a result labourers are suffering a lot,” Shrama said.
