Cong will undo all injustices meted out to Kashmiris: G A Mir

Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president and party candidate for Anantnag parliamentary constituency G A Mir Wednesday assured the people that the Congress party, if voted to power, would undo all the “injustices” meted out to them by the present union and the state governments.

“The anti-people moveslike ban on highway and educational institutions, besides mass arrests, are adeliberate move to impose emergency in Kashmir by the BJP-RSS. The Congresswill review all such moves taken from time to time to ensure that injusticemeted out to people by the state and the centre governments comes to an end,”Mir said while addressing public meetings at Shopian and Wachi constituenciesin south Kashmir’s district Shopian.

   

“We assure the people that the Congress party will reviewall such cases to ensure that the confusion created under the garb of (highway)ban and mass arrests by the centre and the state governments are cleared tobring the people out of chaos and miseries,” he, according to a statementissued here, said.

He said the people here have faced the brunt of “misrule”and mis-governance on the part of the PDP and the BJP. Now the time has come toanswer them by the ballot,” Mir said.

Taking a jibe at the PDP and the NC, Mir said these partieswere “playing politics” on the “ban on the highway and educational institutionsto gain political mileage”.

“The fact remains that both the PDP and the NC are leastbothered about such anti people moves. Their only concern and aim is to gainpolitical mileage to get benefitted in the ongoing elections,” he said.

“People need to realize thatthe Congress party is set to form the government at Centre and will address theissues concerning people of Jammu and Kashmir in whatever way, besides puttingan end to the harassment, mass arrests, ban on the highway and educationalinstitutions.” Mir assured.
