One policeman identified as Shafoor Ajaz Wani son of Ghulam Hassan of Zandfaran, Sheeri met with a tragic road accident near Veerwan in District Baramulla while on his way to DPL Baramulla.
Shafoor Ajaz was on a motorcycle when an Alto car hit themotorcycle injuring him grievously. He was evacuated to hospital where hesuccumbed to his injuries.
Police has registered a case FIR No. 55/2019 under relevantsections of law at Police Station Baramulla. The Alto car bearing RegistrationNo JK05F 4668 has also been seized in the matter. Accused driver has fled fromthe spot and police is making efforts to arrest him.
Shafoor was the lone bread earner for his family. He issurvived by wife Sakeena and three minor children aged nine, seven and one.
