A spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Sunday alleged that motorcycle-borne policemen in civvies were following their chairman Yasin Malik everywhere he went.
While condemning the siege placed around his residence from past few weeks, the spokesman said policemen on motorcycles followed Malik everywhere he went since past few days.
"These police personnel in civvies are seen following him where ever he goes and this has not only threatened his security, privacy but also jeopardised the safety of his friends and relatives whom he meets," said the spokesman.
Terming this "policegiri" as worst kind of hooliganism, he said that this new police tactic to "stop Yasin sahib from meeting people is not acceptable and it is actually a threat to his safety, security, privacy and family life."
He said that after choking every little space on peaceful politics, so-called rulers and their police are now moving further ahead and choking and disturbing even privacy and family life of Kashmiris especially JKLF chairman.
"This police hooliganism cannot be tolerated and JKLF besides looking for other possible options is also going to move court of law against this police highhandedness. In this regard, JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik today met with the president of Bar Association advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom sahib and decided to move court tomorrow in this connection," said the spokesman.
