Counselling session held in Awantipora

Awantipora police today held a counselling cum interactive session with a group of youth and their parents at Police Station Awantipora.

The session was chaired by SSP Awantipora Tahir Saleem. SDPOAwantipora and SHO Awatipora were also part of the counselling cum interactivesession.

   

“During the interactive session, the youth were properlycounselled and were later handed over back to their parents as a part ofcommunity outreach programme,” a police handout said.

“These youth had indulged in violence and created law andorder disturbances recently in the area,” it added.

While interacting with them, the parents were advised totake appropriate care of their wards and not to allow them to move outunnecessarily in case of disturbance of law and order situation.

The youth were counselled and advised to focus on theirstudies and channelize their energy in positive direction so that they evolveas better citizens of the state who will be committed to the welfare of oursociety.

These youth and their parents assured that they willcooperate and will focus on their career progression, the statement said.
