The number of Covid-19 cases mounted to 245 in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday with 21 more persons tested positive for the novel disease, officials said Sunday.
“21 new cases of Covid-19 reported in J&K today. 17 from Kashmir Division and 4 from Jammu Division. Total number of positive cases now 245. Details follow in daily bulletin,” said the government spokesman, Rohit Kansal on Twitter.

On Saturday, 17 cases of COVID19 were confirmed in J&K. The new patients are mostly contacts of already confirmed cases and those with travel history to outside Kashmir.
J&K has been seeing a continuous high number of cases, with the highest number of 33 cases recorded on Wednesday. The Union Territory has so far seen four deaths – one in Jammu and three in Kashmir valley.
