Crime Branch Jammu on Wednesday recovered a minor girl and arrested the Bihar resident accused of abducting her.
CB officials said a Special Investigation team (SIT) ofCrime Branch, Jammu, headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Muhammad Aslamalong with Inspector Jatinder Singh Samyal and Head Constable Ranjeet Kumarwere deputed to Delhi in connection with investigation of case FIR No. 151/2018U/S 363/109 P/S Katra (Now under investigation with Crime Branch, Jammu) andrecovered the minor girl aged 17 years, belonging to Katra, District Reasi, whowas abducted by accused Naimudin Ansari, aged 28 S/o Sahabudin Ansari R/oGaneshpur, Baisakhawa West Champaran, Sikta Bihar and also arrested theaccused.
Giving the brief facts of the case, CB officials said thatthe instant case was registered with Police Station Katra on 24 July 2018regarding abduction of the said girl but no breakthrough was made with regardto the arrest of the accused and recovery of the abducted girl by Katra Police.
The case, they said, was transferred to Crime Branch, Jammuby PHQ J&K on 5 February 2019 for further investigation. On this, officialssaid Crime Headquarters J&K constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT)and the investigation of the case was taken over by Crime Branch, Jammu, on 14February 2019.
The CB officials said after strenuous efforts and meticulousplanning, the team was able recover the girl from Dabri Sagarpur, Delhi on 23July 2019. The accused is on Police remand and further investigation of thecase is going on, they added.
