Unknown gunmen on Sunday evening shot dead a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that the gunmen fired upon CRPF man, identified as Naseer Ahmad Rather, at his home in Naira village of the district.
Naseer, who is posted with the CRPF 182 BN in Pulwama, was on leave when he was shot dead.
He was immediately shifted to district hospital Pulwama where he was declared brought dead.
Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Pulwama Dr Abdul Rashid Parra confirmed the death to GNS news agency.
