A CRPF man was injured in a grenade attack in Bijbehara town of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday, officials said.
They said that the militants lobbed a grenade at the force near Bijbehara hospital, leaving a trooper wounded. “The injured was shifted to SDH Bijbehara where his condition is stated to be stable,” an official told news agency KNO.
He identified the injured CRPF man as Patil Parmakar of 40 BN CRPF.
He said that the entire area has been cordoned off and a massive search operation launched to track down the attackers.
