A CRPF officer died due to brain haemorrhage in Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Monday.
Officials said that assistant commandant Ravinder Kumar posted with 118 Battalion in Gund Kangan area fell unconscious after suffering brain haemorrhage.
He was rushed to sub district hospital Kangan where doctors declared him brought dead.
