CRPF trooper dies due to ‘accidental fire’ in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jul 5: A paramilitary CRPF trooper on Monday died due to “accidental fire” at Haft Chinar near Bakshi Stadium in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, official sources said.

Quoting the sources, news agency GNS reported that driver Constable Sachin Yadav died on spot due to the accidental fire from his carbine service rifle when he was close to the deployment at Haft chinar Srinagar this evening.

   

A CRPF spokesman told GNS that the constable “either died due to fire from outside or as a consequence of suicide.”

“There was accident fire from his rifle and he died on the spot,” he added.
