Scores of dailywagers including women of municipal committee Bandipora here staged a protest demanding regularization of their services under SRO-64.
The protesting employees holding placards protested outside the municipal committee office Bandipora.
“We have been running from pillar to post as our services are not being regularised. We are working day and night with dedication but the government has turned a blind eye toward our sufferings,” said Zahoor Ahmad, president Urban Local Bodies Daily-Wagers forum
He said on 25 October “we are going to hold a protest demonstration against the government in Srinagar outside directorate office to press for our demands.”
“If the government fails to meet our demands we will launch a state-wide agitation to seek justice,” the protesting employees said.
