Day 2: Opposition seeks debate on Kashmir killings, disrupts assembly session
The second day of Budget session of Jammu and Kashmir assembly began amid ruckus by the opposition parties seeking a debate on the recent civilian killings in Kashmir.
The members of the opposition parties created ruckus while seeking a debate on the killing of nearly a hundred civilians during protests after July 8 killing of militant commander Burhan Wani.
The legislators were chanting slogans like 'qatil sarkar hai hai' and 'mout ka hisab do'.
"We are asking for a debate on the civilian killings in Kashmir where were raised throughout the country. Why are you denying us this right," asked Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami of CPI (M).
