Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Owais Ahmed on Saturday convened a meeting to review grievance redressal mechanism in the district.
Additional deputy commissioner Shopian, SDM Zainapora,tehsildars, chief education officer, ARTO and other district officersparticipated in the meeting, an official statement said.
While directing for disposing off the public grievances intime bound manner, DC asked the official that all the pending grievances mustbe examined by the nodal officer of each department daily. The DC in themeeting said that he will take the review every week and the offices which showlaxity in disposal of grievances will face strict action.
On the occasion Deputy Commissioner also directed thetehsildars to conduct extensive tours and fortnightly camps in their tehsils sothat the important issues of the area can be redressed effectively.
