Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, who is also Principal Census Officer, Wednesday inaugurated two days training programme for district and Census Charge Officers for smooth conduct of house listing and housing Census.
During the programme, training was imparted regarding theprocedure to be adopted for collection of data on various operational andstructural variables of all establishments by the enumerators and supervisorsdeployed by Census Charge Officers.
On the occasion, the DC directed the field staff to visitevery household and establishment in the enumeration blocks assigned to themand capture complete and correct information on the mobile applicationdeveloped for the purpose.
He stressed on meaningful and accurate data capturing as thedata to be collected was of a great importance for planning of various socio-economicdevelopmental activities in future at J&K and national level.
