Deputy speaker convenes grievance redressal camp at Gurez, Tulail

Deputy speaker Legislative Assembly Nazir Ahmad Khan Gurezi visited Gurez and Tulail on Tuesday.

Gurezi convened public grievance redressal camp at many places to take stock of ongoing developmental works and address the issues faced by the people of the area.

   

Several delegations comprising men and women from various areas met the deputy speaker and apprised him about the problems faced by them in their day-to-day life regarding roads, unscheduled power cuts and drinking water.

Gurezi visited various villages like Wanpora,  Khandiyal Dawar, Markoot, Kanzalwan, Achoora ,Chorwan ,Barnie ,kashpat, Badugam, Saradab, Buglinder, Gundgul skiekh, Malangam and Baduab where people apprised him about their grievances. The deputy speaker gave patient hearing and issued on-spot directions to the concerned officers regarding the issues raised by the public. Gurezi also conducted a whirlwind tour of various educational institutions in the area. 

The deputy speaker also took a serious note of electricity shutdown due to defunct generators at Barnie, Badugam and Chorwan villages, he took immediate action by restoring Barnie Genset and assured the public other two gensets will be restored soon.

People of Markoot village raised water shortage issue in the area and demanded up gradation of water pump-station of the area, Gurezi assured that issue would be looked on priority.

The deputy speaker said that the government has laid full focus on development of infrastructure and providing better civic amenities to the people of the state especially living in the far-flung areas like Gurez and Tulail adding that social and economic upliftment of the weaker sections, downtrodden, women, youth and farmer is on prime agenda of the government.

 Gurezi directed the officers to work in a coordinated manner to ensure that people do not suffer and the benefit of various welfare schemes reaches the targeted populace in full.
