Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir today said that without peace, development and prosperity of any nation is impossible.
"At the same time, we remind world that that for establishing the peace, it is also inevitable to resolve the issue concerning any nation justly and unless such issues are sincerely addressed, their resolution is impossible," Advocate Zahid Ali, spokesperson Jamaat Islami J&K.
Elaborating, he said "presently there are two main international disputes which have shattered the peace and stability of the world one is the Palestine issue and another Kashmir issue."
"For the permanent resolution of these issues it is imperative to know the aspirations of the concerned people. If any readymade resolution not representing the aspirations of the people is imposed by any fraud or coercion, the apparent peace achieved thereby cannot last long. Such shortcuts have been applied in Kashmir as well as in Palestine a number of times in the past but have proved futile and the peace so established after some time disappeared in the air like smoke," he said.
"In Palestine, Yasser Arafat was crowned as the administrator and in Kashmir Sheikh Muhammed Abdullah was made the chief minister under fraudulent accords but the result is before all. Both these international issues have put the peace and stability of not only the concerned areas but of the vast portions of the globe at stake and have even disturbed the harmonious life of various sects of these regions," he said.
"Jamaat Islami appeals the UNO and other nations of the world to come forward and take necessary measures for the permanent resolution of these disputes according to the aspirations of the concerned people by granting them the basic right of the self determination so that stable peace and prosperity is established world over," he added.
