Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan chaired a high-level meeting of officers here today to review the preparedness for the smooth conduct of Shri AmarnathJi Yatra-2019.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the Chief ExecutiveOfficer, Pahalgam Development Authority to ensure snow clearance from the trackon priority. He directed for a daily report of track clearance along withphotographic evidence. He directed for special focus on slippery tracks/ areasnear Nagakoti, Wavovbal top, and other critical spots including camping sitesof Sheshnag, Panjtarni and Holy cave. He stressed for completion ofpre-fabricated structures, restoration of track, erection of rallying by 15thJune 2019.
Regarding Healthcare facilities from Chandanwadi to Holycave, the Div Com directed for stocking a sufficient quantity of life-savingdrugs, adequate number of oxygen cylinders, ECG and X-Ray facilities andavailability of critical care ambulance.
He directed the DC Anantnag to designate Nodal Officers forcamp sites, track clearance and material procurement so that all arrangementswill be put in place before the commencement of Yatra. He further directed toensure proper sanitation in and around Transit Camps and Halting stations andmaintaining cleanliness of entire track en-route to the Holy Cave. He stressedto ensure decomposition of wastes through Solid Waste Management Technique.
