United Jehad Council (UJC), a conglomerate of militant outfits, on Thursday alleged that New Delhi in connivance with Jammu and Kashmir government has hatched a conspiracy to change the demographic character of State.

"Issuing domicile certificates to the refugees from West Pakistan is part of this conspiracy. India is repeating in Kashmir, what Israel has done in Palestine," said UJC Chief Syed Salahuddin while addressing a high level meeting in Muzaffarabad, the capital city of Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

In a statement to news agency CNS, Salahuddin asked Pakistan not to act as a mute spectator.

"Pakistan is a party to the dispute and it ought to play its role. Pakistan must make international community aware about the development," he said adding that the silence on part of Pakistan will be disastrous for this country as well as for the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

"We appeal people of Kashmir to raise their voice against these conspiracies." (CNS)
