The 12th anniversary of killing of four persons by government forces in Doodhipora was commemorated today.
The families of the victims assembled at a local graveyard to pay obeisance to their children killed on 23 February 2006 by the army. "On the occasion, the parents of the victims resolved to continue their struggle till the justice is not delivered to them," locals said.
On 22nd February 2006, four persons including two minors were killed allegedly by the troops of 33 RR while they were playing cricket in Doidhipora, Handwara of district Kupwara. The then chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident.
