At least 30 people were injured after government forces allegedly fired tear smoke shells to foil "Dangerpora chalo" called by the locals in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Saturday.
Witnesses said that forces resorted to massive tear smoke shelling after people resisted their move to vacate them from the venue of the rally.
People from Razwein, Dardpora, Choon, Thokar pora, Nagraat Khah and Mamath had started assembling at the Government Middle School Ground in Dangerpora when the forces allegedly resorted to shelling.
Sources said that over 20 people were rished to Sub-district hospital Kremshora where from one was referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Six more injured were treated at PHC Nunar, added the hospital sources.
Residents of Razwein alleged forces of vandalism and ransacking public property in the village.
Meanwhile, heavy tear gas shelling was reported from Kawoosa check where clashes were going on till last reports came in.
