Principal secretary, Animal, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and Transport Department, Dr Asgar Samoon today convened a meeting of the Transport Department to chalk out the road map for the formulation of Mobility Action Plan of the State.
Transport Commissioner, Secretary (Technical), Transport Department, J&K, Director Finance, Transport Department, Additional Secretary, Transport Department & Deputy Director (P&S) and Traffic Advisor, Transport Department attended the meeting.
A threadbare discussion was held on the current mobility challenges like emission, congestion, model imbalance, safety, affordability, service quality, consumer adoption, infrastructure, institutional framework, availability of resources and steps required to be taken for achieving vision of transforming mobility which will ensure seamless, safe, cleaner, interconnected and accessible, inclusive with gender equality, economic and affordable with possible employment generation for youth.
