Sopore, Aug 22: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Baramulla, Muazzam Ali, and his team conducted enforcement drive on Hygam Baramulla national highway on Tuesday and checked a number of passenger vehicles.
During the drive a number of vehicles are found without Speed Governors. ARTO issued on spot show cause notices to 11 violators for plying without speed limiting devices (SLDs).
Meanwhile, the inspection team informed the people about their duties towards observing traffic norms and road safety rules while travelling. The ARTO said that it was prime duty of the commuters to raise their voice against overloading and use of mobile phones by the drivers at the time of driving.
ARTO urged people to drive carefully, avoid over speeding and follow traffic rules while driving.
