A minibus met with an accident at famous shrine of Baba Shukurdin (RA) in Watlab area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday. The driver was injured in the accident.
Sources said the minibus bearing registration no. JK01J-9633was on its way to Baba Shukurdin, Sopore from Budgam.
Sources said when the vehicle reached its destination atBaba Shukurdin shrine, Watlab this afternoon, the passengers alighted, but soonthereafter the driver lost control over it sending it down.
Sources said in the mishap the driver was critically injuredand was taken to nearby hospital for treatment from where he was referred toSrinagar hospital for specialized treatment.
A police officer also confirmed the accident and said allthe passengers travelling in the mini bus were safe.
“The driver was injured and he has been referred to Srinagarhospital for specialized treatment,” the police officer said.
He said a team headed by SHO Sopore reached on the spot toverify the incident.
