Continuing its drive against the drug menace, Bandipora police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered narcotic substance from his possession.
Giving details police told news agency CNS, “On the directions of SSP Bandipora Sheikh Zulfikar Azad, police party headed by SDPO Sumbal Sheikh Tahir Amin and accompanied by SHO Police Station Hajin Saqib Ghani and SI Muneeb Ul Islam laid a naka at Hajin.
“During the checking , it recovered one kilogram of Charas powder from the possession of one person (name withheld), a resident of Shahgund Hajin. “In this connection case FIR 01/2018 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Hajin and investigation was taken up,” it said.
