The school education department has asked the school heads to start new academic session in all government and private schools two weeks after culmination of class 10 examination.
The orders in this regard have been passed by Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Ajaz Ahmad Bhat on November 19.
As per the order all the heads of the institutions have been asked to complete the "pending" practical work of class 10 and 12 students appearing in the regular exams, within 15 days after culmination of exams.
"The practical work should be completed within 15 days from the date of completion of 10th and I2th class examination so that they (students) are able to take their external practical examinations," reads the order.
Already, the exams for class 10 commenced from November 15 and will culminate on November 28 while as the exams for class 12 started on November 14 and will culminate on December 03.
Meanwhile, orders have been issued in pursuance to the instructions communicated by the competent authority vide order no 446-EDU of 2016 Dated, November 17 and endorsed by all concerned Chief Education Officers (CEOs) vide number: DSEK/GS/1414-41, dated November 18.
Also, to ensure smooth conduct of all the academic activities in schools, the concerned heads of the schools have been directed to complete the admission classes from 1st to 12th "by or before" November 25 this year.
"Classification shall commence immediately and Time Table shall be prepared as per standard practice and instructions issued from time to time. The Time Table so devised shall be implemented in letter and spirit," reads the DSEK order.
However, the provisional admission to class 11th as per the orders will commence two weeks after culmination of the class 10th examination.
