Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) President and senior trade union leader Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam Wednesday expressed sorrow over the demise of GhulamNabiShaida, veteran journalist and owner and editor-in-chief of Urdu daily ‘WadikiAwaaz’.
A statement of EJAC issued here said that Shabnam termed Shaida an intellectual giant whose work spanned across many decades.
“He was a journalist with a lot of courage, ethics and values. He will always be remembered for his immense contribution in journalism. He leaves behind a rich legacy in the field of journalism. His loss is not only the loss of journalism fraternity but to the entire society,” he said in the statement. Shabnam also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
