Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal Shafqat Tuesday today convened a meeting to review preparedness to prevent spread of Covid-19 in the district.
Themeeting was attended by SSP, Additional Deputy Commissioner, PresidentMunicipal Committee, , CMO, executive officer of Municipal Committee, besidesBDC chairpersons.
TheDC sought feedback from designated officers and also discussed the issues beingfaced by officials while performing their duties.
Themeeting discussed threadbare various aspects to prevent from deadly pandemicCoronavirus.
TheCMO Ganderbal informed the Deputy Commissioner about preparedness at quarantinewards at designated administrative centers in the district as per prescribedprotocol of the government.
Whilereviewing status of people being quarantined who have arrived from abroad, theDC passed strict instructions to the surveillance teams that every person shouldbe quarantined who are returning from outside countries.
Allsurveillance teams were directed to remain available in their respective areasto monitor the situation.
Heurged to maintain register of inmates who were being quarantined. The DCdirected officers to ensure availability of all basic facilities in the centersand directed to provide separate rooms for persons who were symptomatic, ifany.
TheDC urged the BDC chairpersons to provide cooperation to the districtadministration by way of educating public regarding measures to break the chainof propagation of Covid-19.
