Ex-legislator Er Rasheed demands speedy trial, says Sumbal rape victim belongs to entire humanity

Former MLA Er Rasheed on Sunday said that the three-year-oldrape victim of Sumbal does not belong to any particular community but to theentire humanity and that the government should establish a fast trial court forthe hearing of the case.

“We should not forget that victim belongs to entire humanityand not to any particular sect or region. The government should establish afast trial court for hearing of the case,” Er. Rasheed said in a statement.

   

Er. Rasheed also appealed to the people not to pay heed tothe rumors, saying that people of the entire state were together to fight forthe justice to the victim.

“We should not allow any miscreant or vested element tocreate confusion over the sensitive issue and everyone must also ensure thatthe dignity and honor of the victim and her family is not dragged beyond apoint,” Er. Rasheed said.

There has been an outrage over horrific rape of athree-year-old girl in Trigam.

Massive protests were held in the area today with peopledemanding speedy trial of the case.
