An extension lecture in Urdu was delivered by Prof ShohabEnayat Malik, Dean Arts and Head Department of Urdu, University of Jammu at the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), University of Kashmir on the topic ‘Qudrat-UllahShohab: Art & Thought’ on Saturday.
Prof Malik discussed at length the life and literarycontribution of son of this soil with special reference to his novel “YaKhuda”and autobiography “ShohabNama”.
The lecture was held in the conference Hall of theDirectorate and was attended by a good number of students and numerous scholars. The lecture was followed by ahealthy discussion on different aspects of literature with reference to QudratUllahShohab.The lecture was presided over by Dean School of Open Learning Prof MushtaqAhmed while as Director Distance Education Prof. Mahmood Ahmed Khan welcomedthe guest and threw light on other activities organised by the directorate inthe recent past.
DrAltafHussainNaqashbandi (Department of Urdu, CentralUniversity of Kashmir) also spoke on the occasion. Program coordinatorDrAltafAnjum conducted the session while as DrIrfanAalam presented vote ofthanks.
