Srinagar, Oct 15: National Conference (NC) President and three-time chief minister Farooq Abdullah Friday expressed grief over the demise of Peer Muhammad Ashraf Maqdoomi of Maqdoom Mohalla.
A statement of NC issued here said that the NC president prayed for the peace to the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family.
He also made a phone call to the brother of the deceased and Sajada Nisheen of Ziyarat Maqdoom Sahab Peer Showkat Ahmed Maqdoomi (Kaka Pir) and expressed sympathy with him and his bereaved family.
NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar also expressed sympathy with the bereaved Maqdoomi family, particularly Peer Showkat Ahmed Maqdoomi (Kaka Pir) and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed and forbearance to the bereaved family.
