National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and working President Omar Abdullah on Friday expressed profound grief and sorrow over demise of district vice President Kulgam Haji Ghulam Ahmad Dar of Ashmuji Kulgam who passed away this afternoon after a brief illness.
The deceased was a prominent party functionary and had closely worked with National Conference founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, said the statement.
It said in a career spanning over 40 years, Dar worked in different capacities in the party at block and district levels.
Senior party leaders including general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, south zone president Sakina Itoo, district president Kulgam Ab Majeed Bhat Larmi, provincial spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar and office bearers condoled the demise and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
