National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Friday paid tributes to veteran party leader and former MLA Sheikh Muhammad Mansoor of Shopian on his 30th death anniversary.
Abdullah while payingtributes to Mansoor said the history of National Conference was replete withsacrifice and struggle.
“Sheikh Mansoor Sahib was one of the sons of soil who laiddown his life serving people of Shopian in particular and the state ingeneral,” said Abdullah.
In his message, Omar said, Mansoor laid down his life for the principles of truth, courage and peace.
“I offer him my tributes. His contribution towards thedevelopment of Shopian is immense which can’t be summarized in few words,” Omarsaid.
Among others party leaders including Sheikh Mustufa Kamal,Nasir Aslam Wani, Sakina Itoo, Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi, Showkat Hussain, ImranNabi Dar and Sheikh Rafi also paid tributes to Mansoor.
