Secretary of the public health engineering, irrigation and flood control and disaster management, relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction departments Farooq Ahmad Shah has applied for voluntary retirement from the service, the J&K information department said on Wednesday.
Following the development, the administration assigned the additional charge of secretary PHE, irrigation and flood control and DMRRR to Khurshid Ahmad Shah.
“In the interest of administration, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, IAS, commissioner /secretary to the government, public works (R&B) department, shall hold the charge of administrative secretary, PHE, irrigation and flood control department and department of disaster management, relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction, with immediate effect, in addition to his own duties, till further orders,” an order issued by the general administration department read.
