Two members of a family died, while two others suffered injuries after a car they were travelling in met with an accident here in north Kashmir on Friday evening, local news agency GNS reported.
It said that the illfated vehicle skidded of the road and rolled down into a deep gorge nearGarkote village in Uri. In the accident, four persons including father and histhree sons suffered critical injuries. The injured were rushed to sub districthospital Uri, where doctors declared two of them brought dead on arrival.
The deceased were identified as Parvaiz Ahmed Khawaja Ganai,42, son of Haji Ata Muhammad Ganie and his son Danish Ahmed, 10.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist died in a road accident nearDamjan, Qazigund crossing in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Fridayafternoon, another local news agency KNO reported.
Quoting a police official the agency said that the accidenttook place when a fast moving truck hit a 27-year old motorcyclist resulting inhis on spot death.
The police official identified the deceased as Sajad AhmadNaikoo, son of Gull Muhammad Naikoo of Badragund village of Qazigund.
