Father-son duo among three injured in air compressor explosion at tyre shop in Beerwah

Three persons, including a father-son duo, were injured after an air compressor exploded at a tyre shop in Beerwah area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said.

Station House Officer Magam, Firdous Ahmad said an air compressor of a tyre repairing shop exploded in Aripanthan village today morning.

   

He said three persons, including the shop owner, his son and a worker,were injured in the blast.

“The injured were shifted to Magam hospital for treatment,” he said.

A doctor at the Magam hospital said the injured were referred to SMHShospital for specialised treatment.

“They had some head injuries and were in trauma. We have referred them toSMHS for neuro and surgical consultations,” he said.

The injured were identified as Riyaz Ahmad Beigh, owner of the tyre shop,his son Raja Aslam Beigh and their helper Khursheed Ahmad Khan.
