Fifteen injured after truck turns turtle in Bandipora

Fifteen persons were injured in a road accident near Putushai village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday morning.

An official said that 15 persons were injured after a mini truck skidded off the road near Putushai village.

   

He said the injured were shifted to District Hospital Bandipora for treatment where from six of them were referred to SMHS for specialized treatment. “Condition of one of the injured persons is stated to be critical,” he said.

Local reports said that the truck was carrying people who were heading towards Sopore after reports about the killing of a local militant in yesterday’s gunfight in Warpora area.

“Several youth from the native village of the militant who is believed to have been killed in Warpora gunfight, rushed to Warpora in vehicles, however, one of the vehicles skidded off the road, resulting in injuries to 15 persons,” they said.
