CPI (M) leader MY Tarigami Saturday said the decision of Uttar Pradesh government to send 250 buses to evacuate 9,000 stranded students and drop them to their native districts from Kota in Rajasthan must be replicated by J&K administration to bring back stranded people across the country.
"These students are being screened by doctors and thenallowed to board the buses. We have been demanding evacuation of strandedJ&K students, labourers, traders, patients and others on similar patternfor the last two weeks on the same pattern. What stops J&K administrationto follow the same pattern to bring back its stranded people?" Tarigami said.
He said even Kashmiris stranded in Jammu were not beingevacuated by the administration which was unfortunate.
"Special transport arrangements must be made for them andafter their return due COVID19 protocols must be followed," he said.
