Incarcerated chairman of Tehreek- e- Mazahmat (TeM) Bilal Sidiqi today said that might and power could not crush the resolve of Kashmiris nor deter them from pursuing freedom struggle.
Referring to the statement of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, wherein she had asked forces to "deal with iron hands" the protestors and resistance camp, Bilal Sidiqi, in a statement today, said, "now forces and police have started night crackdown in nook and corner of state. We are not afraid of all these brute and repressive measures and arresting people and leaders and slapping PSA won't break our resolve."
Responding to the recent statement of Mehbooba Mufti that only 5 percent people are "fomenting trouble", Sidiqi said, "despite all her miscalculations about the people's uprising, she is trying to mislead world opinion. Their prime target is now urban areas. The authorities with arrogance of their power are terrorizing people and in night raids arresting even innocent kids."
