Government forces conducted a nightlong cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Naira village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Dozens of houses including that of youth Peoples Democratic Party leader Waheed Para were searched during the operation.
An official said that the operation started at 10:30pm and ended at 3am.
The operation, he said, was launched by a joint party of the army, police and the CRPF after inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
