As many as 18 youth were detained by the government forces during overnight searches in several villages of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
Local residents said that government forces picked up 10 youth during a night long search operation in Murran area of Pulwama.
The forces, according to the residents, also caused damage to many residential houses.
Meanwhile, forces have also arrested eight youth during searches in the villages of Gudoora, Wapora and Gudibugh.
According to local residents, five youth from Gudoora, two from Wapora and one from Gudibugh were arrested during the raids.
