Forces launch search operation in Hajin after inputs about presence of militants

Government forces on Monday launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Reports said army’s 13 RR, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and 45 battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched searches in Bon Mohalla and Parray mohalla of Hajin town around 8 pm.

   

An official said that searches were launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area. They said that forces have been deployed in strength in the area.

Door-to-door searches were going on in the area amid minor stone-pelting protests.
