Government forces launched a cordon and search operation at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
A police official said on early Friday morning that mixed columns of army, SOG and Central Reserve Police Force laid a siege around Guglaru, Pinjoora village following inputs about the presence of militants.
A door to door search operation has been launched, the official said.
The operation was underway when this report was being filed.
